We sail at the Portishead Lake Grounds and we benefit from a large boating lake with paved access all the way around.  The lake is ideal for model boats – it is big enough for the largest models and yet it also has sheltered areas for smaller models.  It has ample parking and other facilities including cafes and public toilets nearby.  The council currently charges 20 pence to access the toilets and this requires payment in coins. 

The lake and the lake grounds are public areas and therefore club members and the public are free to sail models at any time.
